Construction crews working on dismantling the Long Island College Hospital was fined for using fake signs «Parking is forbidden» in the local street.
In the end, the police have directed the drivers of the nearest Parking lot, creating problems on the roads. Now the residents hope municipal transport Department can oblige the construction company to develop a comprehensive plan that can resolve the situation.
Although the Department confirmed that the signs were installed illegally, CEO of the construction company is confident that the drivers were not allowed to leave the car nearby, as the coordinated plan for the construction works included the installation of protective barriers. On the other hand, the Department of transport said that the installation of barriers is allowed to protect the working area, but the Parking lots they are irrelevant.
