Model cars in life-size was discovered in the area of design for the 34th Street station Hudson Yards. Like two ghosts, ready to go on a journey to the underworld, behind the blue plywood walls, two covered with a white cloth wagon.

However, the photos published by NY Daily News, slightly open the curtain of secrecy and show how will look the new cars. The R211 cars that will soon begin to run from station to station, will have open areas, United flexible rubber walls with a wide yellow and blue stripes. Also new cars will be equipped with USB ports and WiFi.

«The MTA got a new model R211, they are hidden under a tarpaulin at the station.»

Press MTA Secretary Shams Tarek told NYDN that the model will be presented before the eyes of passengers at the station, Hudson Yards, however, the date is not specified.

«Through our program of major updates to metro, the MTA are pleased to introduce a new modern carriages with open platforms,» says Tarek. «Our passengers will be able to see the patterns, and we look forward to their reactions because we are working to provide them with the best service».

In April, the MTA confirmed that the ordered 640 open wagons, which is expected to increase the capacity of trains by 10 percent.
