The Governor of the state of new York Andrew Cuomo starts a fight with one of the main causes of delays and breakdowns in the subway of the Big Apple — with the garbage.
Today, 7 September, early in the morning the Governor went to the subway on Union Square, to inspect the treatment system.
«When you hear about the fires on the tracks, how you think, why do they happen? It’s burning trash,» said Cuomo.

As reported by ABC7, the project, announced by the Governor, consists of two parts. First, increase public awareness through billboards. Secondly (which is likely much more effective), will increase the fines for throwing garbage on the road — from 50 to 100 dollars. The MTA and NYPD will strengthen control over it.
In addition, the MTA unveiled its new Park is a massive vacuum, which can remove up to 70 thousand pounds of garbage a day. This will attract more employees to the MTA.
Until I finally solved the main question — who is behind it all pay. The Governor wants to divide the money invested in the campaign between the city and the state. The mayor of new York bill de Blasio said that the state has enough funds to cover all expenses. According to de Blasio, the MTA spends money unwisely.
