«Leaving the house, don’t place their dogs on a leash.Floods are dangerous both for people and for animals.».

Show announced that their organization plans to press charges in cruel treatment with animals if they will be able to collect enough evidence to locate and identify the owners of abandoned Pets.
The shelter centre has received about forty cats and dogs abandoned by their owners. B this time the number of animals -the»refuseniks» more than during previous storms.

«This situation is not a surprise to us,» says Diana Sow, adding that palm beach is only two shelters accepting animals. «It’s always disappointing. Our goal is to keep Pets and people together.»
She urged all not to abandon their Pets during a hurricane. She believes that the voluntary leaving of animals, you therefore waive your right of ownership, and when the element has settled, you can’t take your pet back. In addition, voluntary surrender of your pet may prevent you to take your pet next time.

Diana Show also gave the owners of dogs and cats a few tips on how to behave after a hurricane:

— Do not let your dog outside immediately after a storm. On the road will be a lot of debris and garbage and your pet can get injured.

— If you are faced with abandoned pet, be careful. Meeting lost dogs and scared people is fraught with bites and attacks by dogs.
