Notorious case that received wide attention, took place on the campus of the University of Berkeley, California, when there was a baseball game.

A local resident and a graduate of the University Martin Flores was videotaped as one of the officers confiscated the money from the wallet of the seller of hot dogs — Huang.

According to the police, if the seller does not have a license, the law enforcement do have the right to take the money as evidence.

But many witnesses were outraged about it.

«A policeman comes and takes away hard-earned money to this man. There were a few sellers, but for some reason he did not come. I’m not talking about that around people publicly drank alcohol,» he told KTVU Martin Flores.

University students said in an interview that, in their opinion, the police should focus their efforts not on the sellers of hot dogs.

«I was angry when I saw it,» said Kenny Zhang, who lives here for many years. «Instead of looting and attacks, their priorities arrests citizens who are simply selling food on the street.»

Police in Berkeley, KTVU reporters said that the incident is under investigation.
