«This is the homework my 10 year old nephew. Now he cries at home,» wrote Cooper.

The question of homework is: «You are a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Why do you think that your attitude towards African Americans fair?».

There is another question: «so you’re a Freedman. Are you happy with your life? Why or why not?».

The school district told channel WLTX-TC that consider this issue very seriously. That is why the teacher was placed on administrative leave.

«We will continue to communicate with families to tell them about our next steps,» the statement said. «South Carolina standards for 5th grade require conduct lessons on Reconstruction and to groups such as the Ku Klux Klan, but not in this way. We guarantee that the job will never be used in district schools».
