Gay pride parade in new York, the first show on television

Gay pride parade in new York is not just a parade, it’s the culmination of life of the urban LGBT community. People come from all over the world every June to celebrate the triumph of tolerance and free expression of human rights. The parade route — or rather, a March, begins at Fifth Avenue and ends in Greenwich village in front of the bar «Stonewall Inn». This year the March will be held on June 25, to Sunday, and for the first time in almost 50 years history of the event, it will be shown on TV.

After last year the parade was attended by two million people, the event has become too high-profile to ignore. So this year and now a local station WABC-TV has decided to cover the parade live, giving residents of new York city and surrounding areas the opportunity to observe by the parade and related festivities. Watch the broadcast will be on Channel 7 from noon to 3 p.m., and also on the website abc7ny.com. The main events of the day include PrideFest, Pride brunch Luminaries, Rally and new music festival Pride Island.
