Attractions new York city last night turned green

Sights of new York- One World Trade Center, the columns of the bridge Kosciuszko, the city hall building in new York was lit in green in support of the Paris agreement on climate.

The decision was taken by the Governor of the state of new York Andrew Cuomo and new York mayor bill de Blasio despite the statement of President Donald trump on withdrawal from the Treaty of Paris.

«City hall today shines green because new York will fulfill goals of the Paris agreement,» wrote bill de Blasio on Thursday. The state of new York, led Governor Andrew Cuomo also intends to continue to adhere to the contract standards regardless of the decision of Washington.

«We will not ignore science and climate change,» said the Governor.

Trump, who has called climate change a hoax, claimed that the Paris agreement is hurting the American economy.

Besides new York, green illuminated their buildings well as Boston, Mexico city, Montreal and others.

Recall that the Paris agreement on climate change signed in 2015 194 countries. It implied the gradual abandonment of fossil fuels (oil, coal, oil shale, natural gas, peat and other substances) and limiting carbon dioxide emissions. The document was supported only by Syria and Nicaragua.
