Hugh Hefner will be buried next to Marilyn Monroe

The founder of Playboy magazine Hugh Hefner, who reportedly died of old age at the age of 91 years, will remain a legend forever. Everything in his life was on a Grand scale, with pomp and glamor. And funerals, too, is no exception. About them Hugh cared more in life. In 1992 for $ 75,000 Hefner purchased the crypt next to the final resting place of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, whose picture was placed on the cover of the first ever Playboy magazine in 1953. Hefner was her great admirer and fan. The crypt is located in Memorial Park, Westwood village in Los Angeles, California.

«Jay Leno suggested that, if I’m going to spend that kind of money, I should be buried over it,» once said Hefner. «But for me there’s something quite poetic in the fact that we will be buried next to. This cemetery also has other values and regard for me. Friends like buddy rich and Mel Tormé, and was buried, and Dorothy Stratten».
