The city authorities have reported that the undermining of two older sites Kosciuszko Bridge is scheduled for Sunday morning.

The streets adjacent to the bridge will be cordoned off after a few hours, writes DNA info, citing a source from the officials of the state.

It is expected that the bridge will fall on 56th Road, Scott Avenue, Gardner Avenue, Thomas Street and Stewart Avenue and will block the road in these areas for a few hours that may create some problems in road traffic.

Earlier, the date of the final demolition phase of the old bridge was postponed several times. However, authorities still do not rule out the possibility of changing the date due to weather conditions or any other factors.

The undermining of the bridge will mark the completion of the first phase of construction of a new Kosciuszko Bridge, which is estimated at 825 million dollars.
