Flying drones banned at the statue of Liberty and other historical monuments

Flying drones will be soon banned around the statue of Liberty.

The Federal aviation administration reports that starting from October 5, unmanned aerial vehicles will not be allowed to fly within 400 feet of the landmark. The ban also includes nine other national landmarks and monuments of history and culture throughout the country. Among them: mount Rushmore, the Hoover dam national historic Park independence Philadelphia.

Civil aviation authority warns that in case of violation of the ban, the offender threatened civil penalties (including substantial fines) and even criminal liability.
