Marine stole a truck to move the wounded to the hospital

Stories like the tragedy in Las Vegas, generate not only fear and pain – but also heroes. One of them was a veteran of the marine corps Taylor Winston, who rescued more than 30 wounded during a shooting at the country music festival.

29-year-old Winston became a marine at age 17. We have a mission in Iraq. In Las Vegas he rested together with his friends and girlfriend Jenny, when suddenly shots rang out.

And then Taylor saw the keys left in parked Chevrolet pickup truck. «I started taking the wounded people and carried them to the car. There was blood everywhere».

Taylor drove to the hospital Desert Springs five miles from the scene and look for other wounded.

«OK, I said, now let’s get to the second round. I think that military training helped me. Had to get them out of there and everything,» added Taylor.

He managed to save more than 30 people. Later, Winston was able to find the owner of a pickup truck and give him his car keys. «I don’t want to be called a hero. There have been many brave and courageous people.»
