«I could not hold back tears when looking at your badge the first day,» says the girl. «I never could imagine that at age 24 I’m living my most wild dream of working here. It was fantastic to be part of this organization».

According to ABC News, first Montana brown was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma – a rare type of childhood cancer – when she was only two years. During the year she was undergoing chemotherapy at the children’s cancer center until she entered remission.

When the girl was 15, the cancer came back. And Montana again came to the hospital, where several weeks she underwent sessions of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. According to her, she then knew what it was like to be a caring nurse.

«The nurses here, they were loving, caring and compassionate, as when I was two years old – my mom told me about it,» continued Montana. «The love that they gave me and my family, helped. Helped me to try to be as kind to others as they were for me.»
