In new York, the beaches are not accessible by shuttles from NYC Beach Bus

From the shipping company NYC Beach Bus, shuttles which transported the residents of Manhattan and Brooklyn in new York, the beaches of Jacob Riis, Rockaway and Fire Island, there are two news for its customers: good and bad.

Let’s start with the bad. On the company website there was an announcement on temporary suspension (this summer) the provision of passenger transport on the new York beaches. Administration NYC Beach Bus said that he is very sorry but cannot do otherwise.

“Like many firms involved in seasonal business, we are faced with a tightening of the rules and other unique problems that hamper our work. Therefore, development of the service, we decided to run the NYC Beach Bus this summer” – written in the ad.

However, the company has promised that will necessarily return these services back on when she will become “more and better”. But exactly when that time will come – was not specified.

And now for the good news: the private ordering of transport services for events like corporate picnics, parties on the occasion of birthday and of all such, will continue to be available.

But this, of course, does not change anything: to reach the above mentioned beaches, you will have to go to his car, Bicycle, subway, taxi or look for alternative bus routes.

For example, Jacob Riis Beach can be reached by bus Q35 and even ferry New York Beach Ferry, which departs from Manhattan.

In Rockaway you can get down into the subway and sitting on the train line A, and the S-train, the route of which is extended on summer weekends to the station to Rockaway Boulevard in Queens. There is also NYC Ferry, which departs from the ferry terminal Pier 11/Wall Street in Manhattan and is moving through Sunset Park in Brooklyn.

On Fire Island departs the ferry company Davis Park Ferry, Sayville Ferry Service and Fire Island Ferries.
