Poll: Americans losing confidence in the future

From the survey data the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, published on Friday, shows that approximately 1 out of 4 Americans believes that the country is moving in the right direction. This means that only 24% of U.S. adults optimistic about the future. The index fell sharply (by 10%) in comparison with the last survey conducted in June.

One of the most impressive results were obtained in the survey of Republicans. In June 60% of them said they approve of the direction in which the country is moving. Today, these optimists there are only 44%.

A survey by the Associated Press-NORC Center was conducted among 1150 American adults via the Internet and by phone. The accuracy of the final results is 4.1%.
