Yesterday, October 25, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the beginning of the study, which is to find out why the residents of the four parts of the state of new York significantly more likely to get cancer.
Cuomo announced that the study is worth 500 thousand dollars will last one year. It will hold the departments of health and environment of the state. The analysis will focus on factors that can affect the growth of cancer rates on Staten island, long island, in the County of Warren in the Western part of new York.
«We have good things with the treatment, but the main question is to prevent disease,» said Cuomo during a visit to Staten island.
