The warning mentions the case of a 10-year-old boy from new York city, which, according to the police, got sick after ate the candy found in the back seat of the car with his family, but it had no relationship to Halloween.

«Our task is to try to prevent accidents when possible, and given the striking similarities between these drugs and the usual edible candy, the warning was necessary and appropriate. We want that our children were safe and happy Halloween,» — said the representative of the state attorney General Sharon Lauger.

Containing cannabis sweets can be made in the form of jelly candies fruit caramels or chocolate bars. Authorities recommend to throw away any candy without the wrapper and not of known origin.
