The statement of Rossello due to the fact that Federal authorities are investigating the contract, which was won by a small and little known company from the hometown of the Minister of internal Affairs of the United States Ryan Zinke, reports the Associated Press.
«We can not allow any «distractions» from the restoration of electricity on the island, so the contract should be terminated and the authorities will be able to continue the investigation, and we – my job,» said Rossello, adding that the Whitefish Energy has been paid not less than $ 8 million.
According to the Governor, he asked for help from energy companies in new York and Florida.
Recall that almost 70% of the population of the island one month after hurricane Maria still live without electricity.
