Two women from Florida and California are suing Uber, saying that the bad test drivers lead to a high risk of rape passengers.
The lawsuit was filed yesterday, November 14, in San Francisco. Both women claim that they were sexually assaulted by Uber drivers.
«We are very serious about these charges,» said the Associated Press in the company.
In the court document States that «Uber has not done anything meaningful to stop the growing number of reports of sexual harassment and assault. The company is not spending money to test drivers, these checks are very superficial. Uber just doesn’t control the drivers after they are hired.»
Women demand compensation, and increased security measures, including fingerprint verification of the drivers and adding panic button in the app.
