Authorities are asking the residents of Rockaway not to drink water from the tap

The emergency Department of new York on Friday appealed to residents of Rockaway with a request not to drink the brown water flowing from faucets. In the message of Department of environmental protection explained that water pipes under the roads are under pressure and a powerful stream of water can lead to washout from the walls of pipes of iron particles or, better to say, rust. These particles just paint the water in brownish-red or orange. This water is absolutely typical phenomenon and is not dangerous to health. However, the city authorities asked residents of the area to refrain from its use.

The problem can be solved only one way — replace the pipe but this will be discussed in the government.
