As the last $20 homeless-good man turned into $50,000

A good deed without award does not remain, and not having a roof over your head johnny Bobbitt, Jr., proved it by experience. And though our world is often unfair, but this time the boomerang came back really good journey back.

The chance to prove their generosity fell to a homeless man last month when he met 27-year-old Kate McClure, which fell into trouble on the way from new Jersey to Philadelphia.

The yard was already late in the evening, and the girl’s car stuck on the roadside of interstate I-95. Mistakenly believing that stock enough gasoline to drive to your friend’s house, Kate was a mess.

When the gas tank was empty, the girl remained nothing but to get out of the car and frantically wading to the side nearest gas station.

It was then that she noticed johnny, who sits daily at the curb, holding a sign asking for alms. Approaching Kate, he told her to get in the car and lock the doors.

Surprised the girl listened to him, and after a few minutes johnny came back with a canister of gasoline. It cost $20, and it was the last money I had in my pocket to a homeless person. But nothing in return, he asked.

Kate could only thank him with the words: cash money she was not in possession. Safely reaching the destination, she made a decision that will repay good for good.

In recent weeks, Kate made several trips to the site of the first meeting with johnny to give him money for gas. In addition, she gave her rescuer a warm jacket, gloves, hat, socks and every time I fed him lunch.

But this was not enough for her. Kate believes that the 34-year-old johnny deserves a chance to return to normal life. So she started a fundraiser on the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe.

«He’s very interested to find a job, and I believe that having a place where you can daily to clean myself up and sleep well at night, johnny will be able to return to normal life,» said Kate in the description to your campaign.

She wants to raise enough money so that johnny could rent a car to get to work. And it seems that it fails: already more than 1,600 people have this story and wanted to help the homeless with a big heart.

At the moment the total amount of donations is $53,443. Funds were collected for 11 days.
