Using special equipment and observing the change of the pupil of the dog and its reaction to the image of man in different moods, researchers found that depending on the facial expression, the reaction of the dog can be different. For example, frowning or angry face causes a stronger reaction, at the time, as a smiling face triggers a response naturally. Moreover, the smile is the dog’s sincere interest in the person. That is why the dog is likely to run up and will be rubbing up against the leg of the one who smiles than the one who frowned.

In the study of the phenomenon, the researchers went even further. It turned out that the preference of smiling people, dogs give, guided by the instinct of self-preservation, because they are forced to coexist with man. If the person is smiling and he’s happy, then they are in no danger. Unfortunately many sentimental personalities, dogs do not empathize with the person, but rather care about their security.
