In Wisconsin, more than 1,800 license to hunt issued to children under 10 years of age

It’s only been 2 weeks since the state of Wisconsin abolished the minimum age to participate in hunting. But this time was enough to give more than 1,800 licenses to hunt children ages 9 and under.

According to the Department of natural resources, the majority of licenses were issued to 9-year-olds, 52 licenses were issued in the name of children, aged 5 years. If licensed children have the right to attend the hunt as an observer under the close supervision of an adult mentor, but this does not preclude direct participation in selected activities (including firing weapons).

Data from the Department show that already today was one killing a deer 4 year old and a 7 killing deer 5 year old children.

Many experts and the public are outraged, believing that it can be grown threat and, most importantly, knows how to handle a gun criminals.
