The farmers of new York (The New York Farm Bureau) announced the results of its annual programme «Harvest for all», which collects food for food banks across America.

This year the organization has managed to receive 9 million pounds of various products. This is not the limit, farmers are expected donations before Christmas. Last season they collected over 13 million pounds of fruits and vegetables.

Administering the local food banks say that food shortages could become a problem in new York not only for families but also for seniors and students.

Food banks (Food bank) in new York state annually emit more than 225 million pounds of food to nearly 3 million people.
