Eleven-year-old hero saved his grandfather from drowning

Saturday morning could be the last for a 57-year-old resident of Torrington, Connecticut, if not for his clever grandson. 11-year-old hero saved grandpa from drowning when he fell into the water and couldn’t get out of it without assistance.

About 9 a.m., Noah Humphrey, was vacationing with his grandfather at the pool in the back yard and suddenly saw a relative falls into the pool. As it turned out, the elderly man had a stroke and his legs refused.

Without hesitation, the boy dialed 911 — the emergency personnel quickly arrived on the scene and assisted the patient. At the moment he is in hospital and is recovering.

Due to the fact that Noah was able to remain calm and take the right actions, this story ended happily, but things could be quite different had it not been for the boy around the time his grandfather got into trouble.

Now the neighbors called Noah a hero, but he disagrees with them. «I just did what I thought was right,» admits the young Savior. «I have a lot of experience in this area. Grandfather falls often, so I know how to act in such cases.»

Mother Noah is proud of his son and other family members still marvel at his equanimity in an emergency.
