Originally the section was launched by the administration of President Barack Obama in 2011 and enjoyed quite big popularity.
According to the rules, if the petition has gained more than 100 thousand signatures, the White house was obliged to give her official response.
Since joining Donald trump in the office of the President January 20, 2017, such petitions had accumulated 17, but no one have not yet given an answer.
Among the petition obtained the required number of signatures – the requirement to publish the documents that prove the President’s financial interests (which is unconstitutional). In another petition of Donald trump urged to abandon their business assets in the third — to maintain funding for the National endowment for the arts and the National endowment for the Humanities, and so on.
The White house explained that he took such a step for the technical upgrade of the website. According to officials, the updated site will allow taxpayers to save up to 1.3 million dollars a year.
