President Donald trump wished a Happy Christmas a group of us military who are serving abroad during the call of the Mar-a-Lago on Sunday. The President said that Americans pray for their safety. He talked to the pilots of the U.S. air force in Qatar, the Marines in Kuwait, sailors of the 5th fleet in the middle East, guards of the coast guard in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and soldiers from Kuwait. Once again the head of state said about the promotion of the United States in the fight against ISIL, calling the victory over the terrorists one of the best achievements of 2017.
Teleconference with the military, congratulations to their families on Christmas eve – a long tradition established by predecessors of the current President. A similar event is held on thanksgiving Day.
«Every American heart is grateful to you, and we ask God to protect you and take care of your family,» said trump. He also said military families «forever deprived of attention» and «the greatest people on Earth.»
The President said that since his arrival to power, the Americans can more free and confident to wish «merry Christmas».
