Advertising is a delicate matter. The best advertising is the one that touches the senses of consumer. And who does not like McDonald’s know that?

However, this time the company is clearly overdone with emotions and those strings of the soul, encroaching on the sacred. The new commercial of McDonald’s, released in the UK, caused a flurry of emotion and an uproar among users of social networks because the main story line of the movie was a dramatization of the situation with the loss of the child’s father.

At the beginning of the advertisement the boy sees things that belonged to his late father. He asked his mother — as was his dad. The mother smiles sweetly and begins to remember. Heroes to dress up and go for a walk, during which the mother tells the boy about his father. During the conversation, the boy realizes that his father was his complete opposite — and the shoes he was clean, «like a mirror», and the high he was «like a house»… But then mother and son go to McDonald’s. The order makes a boy, and when he returns to the table with tray, mother, appreciating that ordered the son notes that his father also loved the Filet-O-Fish. On the boy’s face can be read satisfaction. It turns out that he and his father are not so different!

The vast majority of social media users condemned the use of the topic of childhood bereavement for a loved one, but there were those who laughed at her … on black.
