Life in the big city can be tiring. Because of the asphalt and concrete it is always hot, and of the sounds around makes head spin. But salvation is. In Manhattan, you can easily find numerous oases of peace and tranquilitywhere you can breathe a little easier, and emerald foliage gives a welcome coolness.

We have prepared for you a list of the most beautiful little «secret gardens«, in other words, little parks, but agree that it sounds not so romantic.

  • Gardens of Church Luke in the Fields

  • Nook is located in the West Village. The gardens are a maze of paths, lawns, benches and all kinds of plants, which are representatives of the local American flora. Although the Garden belongs to the Church, access is open to everyone from 8 a.m. to sunset.

  • Garden Jefferson Market

  • This oasis can be found in Greenwich Villadge in one of the busiest parts of the city. In the shade of spreading trees, you can relax, forgetting for a moment what the fuss is about everybody. This is a public garden, so getting there will not be any problems. Its gates are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to sunset.

  • Garden Creative Little Garden

  • In 2012 this garden was recognized as the best public fat new York. Order here to support the volunteers living nearby. The garden is located in Alphabet City, and is open daily from 11 am to sunset.

    4.Garden Tudor City Greens

    This Park consists of two parts, where you can hide from the omnipresent crowds. For the convenience of visitors there are all the necessary benches and tables. This is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or lunch. The Park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

  • Greenacre Park

  • The main attraction of this Park is the magnificent waterfall for which it is worth spending a bit of time to find the garden, hidden between two skyscrapers. The sound of falling water will soothe the nerves and delight the soul. The Park is open from 8 am to sunset.

  • Let me introduce you to the garden with a most intriguing-looking title. In fact, everything is simple — Septuagesimo uno is translated from Latin as seventy-one. This miniature garden, located in the Upper West side – what you need weary traveler to sit and relax.

  • Garden Strawberry Fields in Central Park

  • This garden is known for its dedication to John Lennon, one of the founders of the Beatles. The Park is named after the song Strawberry Fields Forever. Here often visited by tourists, however, not so much to disturb someone’s peace.
