Victims could be two dozen more, if not for the English teacher, who has managed to shield students from bullets. During the tragic attacks Melissa Falkowski just was teaching the ninth grade. When shots rang out, she had 19 children lie on the floor, and then hid with them in the closet.

Timely reaction saved a life and Falkowski, and her wards.

In an interview with CNN, the teacher said that recently took training in emergency situations.

«If not for this training, it could be much worse,» she said.
