The ninth day of the Olympics in Pyeongchang came to an end. Sunday’s race brought another silver medal to the US and the first gold for Ukraine.
Second place among men in the discipline of ski slopestyle went to American nick Hoepper.

Ukrainian athlete Oleksandr Abramenko won for the country the first gold medal in the current Olympics. In the discipline of ski acrobatics he overtook Chinese Jia of Tsunan (silver), Russian Ilya Burov and other rivals.

Abramenko will go down in history as the first Olympic champion of Ukrainian ski acrobatics and the first Ukrainian medalist in ski freestyle.

The day was marked by the conflict between national team coaches for USA hockey and the Russian Federation. American Tony Garnet pointedly refused to shake the hand of Oleg Znarka after the match, which the Russian team won with the score 4:0.
The coach of the losing side didn’t like that the opponent sent out his team to attack in the final minutes of the battle.
