In Los Angeles police have arrested Mohamed Mohamed, who on Friday around 9:30 PM rammed by car people coming out of synagogue. Video surveillance indicates a deliberate attempt of hitting on people, and the testimony of witnesses allow to suspect that the offence is committed on the grounds of national and religious hatred.
The alleged attacker is 32 years old. According to the Times of Israel, referring to the police Department, where he reviewed video from surveillance cameras, Mohammed made two attempts hitting. After a failed first he pulled away, turned around and again went after the two people of Los Angeles, dressed according to the customs of the devout Jews, when they came out of the synagogue in the heart of Wilshire. In the end, he collided with another car. Fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt.

Witnesses who saw the beginning of the conflict, saying that the assailant before it shouted anti-Semitic curses. Police in Los Angeles expressed concern with recent months a growing number of crimes motivated by religious and racial hatred. The Hill reports the words of the FBI: «Crimes motivated by hate in the U.S. increased for the third consecutive year. In 2017, the year they were 17 percent more compared to the previous year. The attack against the Jewish people amounted to 58.1 percent of crimes motivated by anti-religious bias in the past year, which is 4 percent more than in 2016.»
