The American media mostly favorably responded to the possible appointment. Nauer, a former reporter for Fox News, having no diplomatic experience, did a good job with the responsibilities of the press Secretary of the state Department, and now will replace Nikki Haley, who announced his resignation back in October.

Another possible appointment of William Barr considered for the position of attorney General. He has worked in that capacity during George H. W. Bush. Recently, many have criticized the current attorney General Matthew Whitaker for the Russian investigation, defending the position of Donald trump.
