Summer in new York becomes a city of cinema, but not all the shows under the open sky are one of the best beaches of the city. Last week, the Alliance for Coney Island announces its seventh annual series of screenings of Flicks on the Beach. Organizers note that this year’s lineup is more exciting than a trip on ride the Cyclone.
The screenings will be held at 7 PM on Mondays from 10 July to 28 August on the beach of Coney island near West 12th Street (next to Luna Park). The event is supported by Amazon Studios, so the lineup includes a couple of pre-screenings of two films that will be released later this summer: Landline and Crown Heights.
Reasons to visit Coney island during the summer, you can always call a lot, but if you are not attracted to the ocean breeze or an idle pastime on the sand, then the screenings have become a suitable alternative.

July 10: the beauty and the Beast

14 August: Batman: the LEGO movie

August 21: Crown Heights
Crown Heights is an American biographical drama film directed by Matt Ruskin. The basis for it was a podcast of This American Life. The film tells the true story of Colin Warner, who was wrongfully convicted of murder. His best friend Carl king dedicated his life to proving the innocence of Colin.
August 28: the Outcast one. Star wars: the History
The film tells about the events that preceded the fourth episode of «Star Wars.» Knowing that the Empire built the most advanced battle station capable of destroying entire planets, the Rebel Alliance gathers a special detachment under the leadership of the former criminals of the gene of ERSO, the purpose of which is drawings of sophisticated weapons of the Empire.
