Ukrainian LGBT activist Bogdan Globa and his partner, Vasili married in new York

Bogdan Globa — founder of the organization, Proud of Ukraine, which unites LGBT Ukrainians living in the United States and Canada, and his beloved Basil were married at city hall in new York.

Both guys are from Ukraine. Bogdan is originally from the Poltava region, and Basil had previously lived in Vinnitsa. LGBT activist, who openly declared that he was gay from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, in 2016, moved to the United States. Despite a successful career at home, Bogdan admits that he was forced to leave the country because of threats to his life.

The wedding Bogdan Globa told on his page on Facebook on January 30. He does not name names your partner as Basil, according to her husband, still not ready for a full ComingOut.

Bogdan told the Ukrainian resource «public» that she and her husband are already planning the adoption of children. He noted that in the US, he feels completely free when goes hand in hand with her lover: that feeling which he lacked for 15 years.

«For more than two years in the U.S. I’m grateful every day that we can live in here, and for us it is Paradise, wrote Globa in the post about people’s reactions to their wedding. — No queue to dump LGBT people-hell in new York, there’s a line to get to new York. But what about Ukraine you know… And you know what? It is impossible to build a Paradise on hatred of the otherness, build on hate hell.»

The mother of Bogdan Elena Globa also attended the wedding of his son. By the way, the woman is the head of the organization TERGO, which has been supporting parents who have children — LGBT. She travels to Ukraine and other countries and to share how was it put to the adoption of a gay son.
