Melissa Stinsman who works as a postman in the Post office of Sochi each year «helping» Santa Claus reply to children’s letters. During the holidays the letters Melissa spends four hours every night.
«I tell my children that they got good grades and obeyed my parents.» says Stinsman. «One kid asked for a set for scientific experiments, and I told him that one day he might become a scholar.»
But one letter really stood out among the rest.
«Dear Santa, last year you did not notice me, so I hope that this year will notice and all will be well.» — it was told in a touching letter.
The letter touched the hearts of postal workers
The letter was a standard wish list, like a set of Legos and various toys. But the list ended with a request that struck postal workers: the boy asked for food and clothes for his family. Although the envelope did not specify a return address, the child indicated his / her full name. Melissa asked colleagues for help and they were able to know the exact address.
Stinsman organized the collection of money in the post office:
«We collected about $ 500.» — says Melissa. «People even brought food to the office.»
Gifts delivered to the family on Christmas eve. Melissa really wanted the children did not notice her when she would bring gifts:
