About 100,000 people take part in the protest against the G20

This week in Hamburg will host the two-day summit of the Big twenty (G20), which includes leaders of government and heads of Central banks of twenty countries with the most developed national economy in the world.

The main issues for discussion are organized such meetings are international financial system, trade, climate change and the cooperation of States in these areas.

This time Donald trump will become the third President of the United Stateswho will represent their country at the forum since its inception at the level of national leaders since 2008.

However, the meeting may be in jeopardy, if you believe the promises of a few hundred thousand demonstratorsparticipating in mass actions against the summit.

Such protests began in Hamburg just a few weeks prior to the forum, and the closer to its scheduled date – 7 and 8 July – the more mass become actions and those clearly expressed protest.

For example, on the night of July 6 in the showroom of the Porsche caught fire, causing 8 cars were damaged.

And though the local police have not yet identified evidence that the arson was the work of protesters, but police still suspect them.

The day before, on Wednesday, was held March, the leitmotif of which was the condemnation of capitalism and the leaders of the G20. In the procession was attended by about 7,000 people.

But the main demonstration, called Welcome to Hell («Welcome to hell»), has already started today, on a day when the leaders of the G20 gather in Hamburg. Earlier it promised to participate under 100,000.

Andreas Blechschmidt, one of the organizers of the protest interpreted the slogan Welcome to Hell the following way: it is “military message” to leaders of the G20 and symbolizes that “held all over the world, the policies of the G20 is responsible for the hellish conditions, such as hunger, war and disaster.”

The unhappy protesters? Reasons actually enough. The main protest is against capitalism and globalization.

Another argument was the necessity of spending enormous funds from the city budget to ensure the summit, which, according to the protesters, still does not solve such important world problems as social inequality, armed conflicts and climate change.

“This summit is a waste of money that would be better spent on a greater number of boats to prevent drowning in the Mediterranean of migrants fleeing war and hunger,” – said Stefan Hubert, one of the protesters.

Some oppose the G20, as it believes that this event may not be democratic, because only a few people should make decisions having an impact on populations throughout the world.

Not without personal animosity of many demonstrators to Trump, which is accused of neglecting the interests of the poor and in pursuit of large gains for the rich.
