As a result of the shooting in Minneapoles on Sunday, June 21, 1 person was killed and another 11 were injured. This incident was just one of several incidents involving the use of firearms recorded in the city over several hours.
The shooting began shortly after midnight in Uptown, famous for its many restaurants, nightclubs and brand stores. At about 3:00, the police commented on the situation, saying that 12 people were injured.
One of the victims, Cody Pollard, later died in the hospital. His sister Latoya Pollard told WCCO that he was a father of two and worked as a hairdresser — adding that the incident completely destroyed the family.

At the moment, the search for the gunman continues. According to the authorities, he probably acted with accomplices.
At a press conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo called the shooting «tragic and pointless.»
“Unfortunately, in the past few months we have seen an upsurge in violent crime in Minneapolis. Said Arradondo. «We are doing our best to solve this problem.»
