A TikTik user claims that Converse stole her sneakers design. According to the girl, she included it in her portfolio when applying for an internship — which she never received.

Cecilia Monge, 22, said that the National Parks shoe line looks the same as the models she sent in 2019.

Monge says she was «shocked» to see her design on the company’s website and wants her to «admit» what she did. Converse, in turn, told BuzzFeed that the design was created before receiving the application.

In a statement, a Converse spokesperson said that the design of the Chuck 70 National Parks «was conceived before we received the application from the candidate.»

When the website asked for the contacts of the original development team to confirm this information, the company replied that it had no right to share them under the standard policy.

Responding to Converse’s comment, Monge said: «I believe that Converse’s response is expected.»

«Literally millions of people who were outraged by this whole situation feel the same way after their response and continue to call for justice on all Converse social media accounts.»
