Former prisoner missed a job interview to help a stranger

Previously convicted on weapons charges 32-year-old Aaron Tucker, who served two years in prison, got a chance to start a new life, when he was invited for an interview in a nearby town in Connecticut, Stamford.

But the way he was faced with a choice: to help the victim of an accident to a stranger or to take care of your future. Despite its financial difficulties («in the pocket» Tucker was only $1.75), he considered that human life is more important.

Aaron ran up to the bus driver and asked if he was going to stop to help. But the driver gave a negative answer. Moreover, he added that if Tucker intends to leave, then bus it will not wait.

Not long thinking, Aaron left the transport and ran to the overturned car. Inside was still 61-year-old man. His wound was bleeding badly.

To help the victim volunteered not only Tucker, but also several employees of the nearest auto repair shop. Together they pulled the man out of the car and called an ambulance.

According to Paul Szeged, one of the employees at the garage, the legs of the victim trapped in a car, so pull out was not easy.

Before arrival of physicians Aaron took off his new shirt to bandage the wound on the head of a crash victim, and then approached the car and removed the key from the ignition.

One of the residents of Westport, Karin Dale, is so impressed by his action that he decided to start collecting funds on the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe, so as to thank Aaron.

In one day she managed to collect $22,850, and her campaign became trends GoFundMe. This amount was accumulated through donations 529 people. The fundraising is not over, the target amount – $25,000.

In turn, Tucker does not consider himself a hero and said that if such incident was repeated, he would have done exactly the same, because “it is right”.

Aaron was very touched by the support he received and promised that the full amount he will spend on the security of his 21-month-old son, and some even defer to him at College.

“I feel that all these people are better than me because they took the time to help me and my son. I appreciate it,” added Aaron Tucker.
