Actor Martin Landau received wide acclaim in the television show of the 60s and won an Oscar for the role of Bela Lugosi in «ed wood».

Landau died in Los Angeles due to unexpected complications during hospitalization.

Early in his career, the man worked as a cartoonist in the New York Daily News.

Landau’s acting career started in 1962. He was nominated for an Emmy for season 3 of the show «Mission impossible» and even won a Golden globe for best actor on television in 1968.

The actor left the set of the series in 1969 because of disagreement over the fee. Career freeze for a long time, so Landau had to appear in small roles in low-budget films. He returned to the screen after comedic roles in «Buffalo bill.»

Martin Landau was nominated for 3 Academy awards for best actor in a supporting role in the film «Tucker: the Man and his dream» in 1988, «Crimes and misdemeanors» woody Allen’s 1989, and Tim Burton’s «ed wood» in 1994, a role which the actor received the award.

His first big role Landau starred in the Alfred Hitchcock film «North By Northwest». Also in the Bank of the famous actor was a minor role in the film «Cleopatra,» and many television shows, including «the twilight zone».

To the end of his career, Martin Landau played in the series «Entourage» where his catchphrase «it would be something that would interest you?» became something of a national joke.
