Parents Charlie Garda reported that their terminally ill baby died. As reported by TheUK.one, Charlie, who was only 11 months old, was suffering from a little known genetic disease called depletion syndrome mitochondrial DNA. As a result of illness he could not see, hear, move, swallow or even breathe without special preparations. As a result, almost all of his short life he spent in the hospital.
Recall that his parents are Connie Yates and Chris Gard – long pleaded with the doctors to give permission for the transportation of their child to the United States to provide experimental treatment. But judges of all courts are not allowed to do that. And even after the child’s fate was a foregone conclusion, parents are not allowed to take Charlie home.
As a result, in Thursday Charlie guard was transferred to the hospice, where he was disconnected from life support systems. Note that the baby did not live a week before his first birthday – August 4.
