Residents and visitors of new York need to be prepared for still more frequent closure of certain stations at night. There will be repaired the way.

About it today on the radio 970 AM said MTA Chairman Joe Lhota.
«There will be more closures, residents will have to get used to it. Only in this case we can focus on one station, to fix it, and then move to another,» said Lhota.

However, the Chairman of the MTA reported that all the subway at night will not be closed.
«The last thing I want to do is to deprive the people of new York round-the-clock service. We may have temporary closing, but the entire system will not be closed», — he said.

Recall that the MTA periodically closes the segments separate lines from 22 PM to 5 am for five years.

Lhota recently granted plan metro worth 836 million dollars. He and the state Governor, Andrew Cuomo , want the city to have taken over half this amount, but mayor bill de Blasio refused to do it.

Lhota also stressed that the fare increase in the near future will not.
«I don’t want this problem rests on the shoulders of our passengers. It’s unfair,» said Lhota. According to him, the MTA will seek ways to cope with the financing of repair of the underground.
