In Santa Clara County, California, in September will open a detox.
As told, acting assistant County Sheriff, Gary Herceg, there will be two rooms – for women and for men, to be able to recover after a strong alcoholic intoxication. Detox open to such people are not sent to jail.

Detox initially will have a capacity of approximately 6 seats, there will be a Laundry, a shower and a place where people can sleep.
Also included in the detox will offer assistance in rehabilitation for alcohol dependence.
«We can help anyone who gets here. We really want them here and never returned,» he told ABC7 program coordinator First Chance Deborah Bolin.
In addition, from January 2018 in Santa Clara County will operate a mobile crisis teamthat will drive around and deliver to people in detox, helping the police.
