The oldest man in the world died at the age of 113 years

On Friday died Yisrael Kristal, the oldest man on the planet. The record didn’t live up to the 114-th birthday just one month.

«He was able to achieve a lot. Every year of his life was equivalent to several years lived with other people,» — said the grandson of the late Oren.

The fate of the Crystal was not easy. He survived both world wars, the death of family and the horrors of the concentration camps.

Survivor was born in 1903 in Poland. His parents were Orthodox Jews. During the First world war, he became an orphan.

When crystal got married and acquired offspring, and there was again war. Soon he and his family came to Auschwitz, where he lost his wife and two children. To the survivor managed to escape and recover, despite the extremely low weight — to the point, when crystal was released, he had to lose weight to 37 kg.

After recovering from grief, he remarried and became a father, and in 1950 moved to Haifa, Israel, where he established a successful confectionery business.

In March last year crystal was recognized as the oldest living person on Earth and received a certificate from Guinness world records. He said that he did not know any secret of longevity and believed that everything is predetermined from above.
