High school Lawton Chiles in Lakeland, state of Florida, sent out to the parents of the students in the form of voluntary sponsorship. Among other things, the letter stated that for $ 100 children may be eligible to be first in line for food.
The father of one of the students, Christie Stevenson, said that he was angry when he saw this letter.
«It will look something like this: «Hey, my dad has more money than you, so I’ll be ahead, and you’ll have to wait,» says Stevenson. «All the poor children into the queue. I strongly approve of this.»
School Director, Brian Andrews, explained to Fox News that there was an unfortunate mistake.
«We brainstorm to find ways to get sponsorship money that will go to the school. There were many different ideas, but this one, about the place at lunch, in the end, was not approved by me.»
According to the Director, because of a bureaucratic error, the idea came in a letter sent to the parents.
«All sponsorship money goes to improvements for our students. We have already notified parents about the mistake with the idea of paying for first place in the queue,» said Andrews.
