Kasparov and Karjakin played a draw at the tournament in St. Louis

Former world chess champion, Garry Kasparov, came back after retirement for a one-time participation in the chess tournament in St. Louis, Missouri. The format of the competition requires players to make moves much faster than in a normal game.

Today Kasparov played another famous Russian grandmaster Sergey Karjakin. The game ended in a draw on the 44th move. Kasparov played a «white» Karjakin «black».

Kasparov said that all income received from participation in the tournament will go to charity. During the fourth stage of Gran-round rapid chess Rapid and Blitz Kasparov will battle with nine of the best chess players in the world. Thus, in the second round, the grandmaster will play against American chess player Hikaru Nakamura, playing «chess legend» to be «white».
