In a house on East 8th Street, East village, Manhattan, flags of the Confederacy. Local residents say that they hang for a few months, but after the tragic events in Charlottesville have become a real trigger. Neighbors throw in the bricks and stones.

«It’s scary, we don’t know who lives next door to us. I feel uncomfortable because it was evil. I hear about protests in the news back home and see it,» says 56-year-old Louise Abdal.

As reported by the NY Post, the tenants had tried to ignore it, but not after the death of the girl in Charlottesville. According to resident Janet brown, a man living in this apartment several times changed the flags. For some time there was a «neo-Nazi», now in the Windows – two small Israeli flag, the US flag and two large flag of the Confederacy.

«He was a Jew with a Confederate flag?! You must be joking?!», — said one of the neighbors, who wished to remain anonymous. «It’s a group of racist, right here in East village. They want to start riots».

Steward stated that he is aware of the flags and trying to force a man to remove them. After the neighbors began to throw stones at the Windows, came the police, but eyewitnesses say no one was arrested.
