The United States is a country, which easily impresses the tourists (and local residents) to its natural, geological and cultural diversity.

Being the third largest country in the world, the USA boasts almost all possible types of landscapes ranging from vast sand dunes of new Mexico to the Kingdom of water and wetlands in Florida.

To choose one natural wonder in every state was, of course, not easy, but we still took the liberty to prepare for you like the tour guide.

Alabama: Noccalula Falls

This waterfall rises to 27.4 meters from its own gorge. Visitors can explore the Fort of indigenous people, the farm of the pioneer, the stone carvings of Civil war and natural caves nearby.

Alaska: Northern lights

Polar lights, also called aurora borealis, is an exciting natural light show caused by the collision of solar wind with particles in our atmosphere.

AZ: Wave

Move over, Grand Canyon, USA, there is still something to see but you. On the border of Arizona and Utah, the Wave is a Sandstone rock formation on the slopes of the Coyote Butts Colorado plateau. It is popular among tourists and photographers for its colorful, undulating forms created by time and erosion. Nature even knows how to ruin beautiful.

Arkansas: the region Orzac

The Ozarks captures the visitor with its steep slopes and forested mountains from horizon to horizon.

California: Sequoia national Park

Here you can find the tallest trees on Earth. The age of giant sequoias and Redwood trees has passed for hundreds of years and in that time they managed to grow more than 90 feet in height.

Colorado: pikes Peak

Pikes Peak, located in the front part of the chain of the Rocky mountains. It is called «Mountain America» due to the fact that it is mentioned in the Patriotic song «America the beautiful.»

Connecticut: deciduous forest

Like other New England States, Connecticut is a terrific place to admire the autumn foliage. Interesting fact: the trees along the Connecticut river, from the mouth of Long Island Sound up to East Haddam, longest drop their leaves for the winter.

Delaware: Great Cypress Swamp

This swamp is the most Northern stronghold of the swamp cypress trees in America. It is also home to 73 species of birds. So don’t forget to bring your camera.

Florida: Everglades national Park

Everglades — special tropical natural territorial complex, which occupies the southern portion of Florida. Here is definitely worth a look after a visit to Disney World.

GA: Stone Mountain Park

Mezonetovy quartz dome, which is the main attraction of the Park, reaches a height of nearly 518 meters. On it is carved the image of three figures of the Confederate that appeared during the Civil war.

Hawaii: Kilauea volcano

Kilauea volcano spews magma in the form of solid pieces of ash emitted from the crater, and not as lava. This makes the volcano not only beautiful, but also dangerous.

Idaho: «fire rainbow»

«Fire rainbow» is a rare phenomenon that occurs only in certain areas where the sun can rise higher than 58 degrees above the horizon. The ice crystals in the atmosphere catch the sun’s rays and refract them to create a rainbow.

Illinois: lake Michigan

Lake Michigan is the only Great lakes entirely located in the United States. It shares coastline with other States, such as Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin. Lake Michigan provides drinking water for 8.5 million inhabitants of Illinois, making it an important natural resource.

On the shores of lake Michigan, the sandy Indiana dunes rise almost 60 meters in height. They are the result of the last retreat of the huge glaciers which occurred about 14,000 years ago.

Iowa: bumpy clouds

Clouds that look like the living embodiment of van Gogh, called hilly. They meet regularly over the plains of Iowa, however, to see them, you have to be very punctual, because they dissipate within 15 minutes after the appearance.

Kansas: salty deposits

One of the largest salt deposits in the world hidden under the ground for 200 metres. They were formed 275 million years ago when dry Perm sea.

Kentucky: mammoth cave

This extensive cave system includes more than 643 km of explored caves, chambers and underground passages.

Louisiana: swamp near Louisiana is not just a swamp. These wetlands are an active waterway with live flora and fauna. Bayou Bartholomew 603,5 km is the longest such natural object in the world.

Maine: national Park Arcadia

Popular tourist Acadia national Park draws visitors with unspoiled nature, hidden trails and the tallest mountain on the Atlantic coast of the United States.

MD: the island of Assatis

Barrier island between Maryland and Virginia known for its wild horses. According to local folklore, the animals appeared on the island due to shipwreck.

Massachusetts: Walden pond

Michigan: island national Park Royal

The Park, which is home to moose and wolves around lake superior, included in the Great lakes and the largest of them.

Minnesota: the Boundary Waters Canoe Area

The area covers over a million acres in the Northern part of Minnesota. Most of the area is a stretch of water interspersed with small Islands. The region formed by the retreat of huge glaciers.

Mississippi: Mississippi river

Mississippi river, effectively dividing the country in half, is both beautiful and dangerous. Adverse weather can lead to destructive floods in the area, however, the rest of the time it is a spectacle that is worth seeing.

Missouri: Onondaga cave

Onondaga cave is one of the most beautiful in the country, with a slender stalagmites, formed by mineral deposits in water. The dream of speleologist.
