The military will continue to follow Santa despite shutdown

On Friday, December 21, the North American command aerospace defense (NORAD) has announced that it will continue to track the Santa’s route regardless of whether a full shutdown.

North American Aerospace Defense Command tracks and broadcasts location Santa around the world since 1955, and this year is no exception, said a CBS representative command.

In the event of a government shutdown, NORAD will continue with its 63-year tradition of NORAD Tracks Santa on Dec. 24. Military personnel who conduct NORAD Tracks Santa are supported by approximately 1,500 volunteers who make the program possible each and every year. pic.twitter.com/fY0oyjrdDc

Thanks to NORAD Tracks Santa, we can track Santa on the world map, including its next stop and estimated time of arrival at the selected location. The site also calculates how many gifts Santa has delivered, as well as show the weather at the North pole. Works program make it possible for about 1.5 thousand volunteers. From year to year they help with Santa camera, social networks and telephone line NORAD.

Track Santa Claus, as usual, will start on December 24.
